Stormy weather from the remnants of Debby caused thousands of utility customers to lose power Friday afternoon.
JCP&L officials say that about 40,000 customers lost power at the height of the storm – about evenly split between North and Central New Jersey.
Crews from the various utility companies throughout the state will be working to restore the power to those who lost it.
JCP&L officials say that power should be restored to a majority of customers by Saturday morning.
